Jamestown Post Office Offers Free USPS.com Workshop

Jamestown, CA — With the click of the mouse, you never have to leave the house…or office… to conduct your U.S. Postal Service business. To show customers how to save time, money and gas, the Jamestown Post Office, 18303 Main Street, is hosting a free USPS.com workshop on Wednesday, July 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For the busy consumer, time is a commodity. The Postal Service website, USPS.com, is ideal for busy business customers and consumers that need time-saving steps to conduct their postal transactions. To highlight the quick, easy and convenient products and services available online, the Postal Service is highlighting eBay’s easy shipping solutions with the Postal Service.

USPS.com offers nearly three dozen services and products to help small business owners and consumers. All Express Mail and Priority Mail customers can save money simply by going online to purchase postage, including customers using Click-N-Ship at usps.com. Express Mail customers will receive 3 percent off the published retail prices and Priority Mail customers will save an average 3.5 percent.

At USPS.com, customers can:

  • Pay postage and print labels
  • Request free package pickup
  • Send shipments around the world
  • Design customized postage
  • Order free, environmentally friendly packaging
  • Manage mail
  • Save from 1 to 11 percent
  • Use Click-N-Ship and PC Postage to save an average 3.5 percent
Only the Postal Service offers the “green advantage” of eco-friendly, free Express Mail and Priority Mail envelopes and packages (usps.com/shop). All Express Mail and Priority Mail packaging is Cradle to Cradle Certified for its environmental attributes. Conducting Postal Service business online reduces gas and carbon emissions. An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
