Become an eBayer at the Post Office

Linden Post Office Offers Free USPS.com and eBay Workshop

LINDEN, CA —With the click of the mouse, you never have to leave the house…or office… to conduct your U.S. Postal Service business. To show customers how to save time, money and gas, the Linden Post Office, 4916 N. Mill Road, is hosting a free USPS.com and eBay workshop on Thursday, July 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

For the busy consumer, time is a commodity. The Postal Service website, USPS.com, is ideal for busy business customers and consumers that need time-saving steps to conduct their postal transactions. To highlight the quick, easy and convenient products and services available online, the Postal Service is highlighting eBay’s easy shipping solutions with the Postal Service.

eBay sellers can send their items through USPS-eBay co-branded, Priority Mail™ flat-rate boxes. Flat-rate products make shipping easier because they eliminate the need for weighing and calculating postage. The co-branded boxes carry the logos of USPS and eBay and are free. With USPS.com online services, it’s never been easier for eBay entrepreneurs to take advantage of the Postal Service’s mailing options.

“Teaming up with the United States Postal Service is a significant win for the eBay community. To date, millions of USPS shipping labels have been printed by eBay users using online postage,” said Linden Postmaster Don Denton. “Our integrated services offer a seamless solution for selling on eBay and offer the eBay community, many of whom are small business owners, the tools and services to manage and grow their business.”

USPS.com offers nearly three dozen services and products to help small business owners and consumers. All Express Mail and Priority Mail customers can save money simply by going online to purchase postage, including customers using Click-N-Ship at usps.com. Express Mail customers will receive 3 percent off the published retail prices and Priority Mail customers will save an average 3.5 percent.

At USPS.com, customers can:

  • Pay postage and print labels
  • Request free package pickup
  • Send shipments around the world
  • Design customized postage
  • Order free, environmentally friendly packaging
  • Manage mail
  • Save from 1 to 11 percent
  • Use Click-N-Ship and PC Postage to save an average 3.5 percent

Only the Postal Service offers the “green advantage” of eco-friendly, free Express Mail and Priority Mail envelopes and packages (usps.com/shop). An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
