Raleys Supermarket Adds A New Aisle — The Post Office

ANTIOCH, CA — Milk, eggs, bread…and now stamps. People who shop for groceries at Raleys Supermarket at 3622 Lone Tree Way in Antioch can now add postage and other postal services to their shopping list.

To increase convenience and access to postal services, a new Contract Postal Unit (CPU) will open May 1, 2008, providing a full line of postal products and services, including postage stamps, Express Mail® service, Priority Mail® service, special services, packaging products, and much more. The daily 7 a.m – 9 p.m. hours of operation provide convenient access seven days a week.

The Post Office counter at Raleys is as easy to find as the produce aisle. “Customers will easily recognize the presence of the Postal Service at our new contract location by the exterior and interior signage, as well as the new retail counter configuration and product display,” says Antioch Postmaster Dennis Gonzales.

The Postal Service has re-engineered the entire CPU program to better provide the needs of Postal Service customers nationwide.

For more information regarding CPU locations, please contact Charisse Mitchell at (510) 874-8540

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
