State University Post Office Relocates To ASU Student Union
Move Effective Monday, June 2, 2008
JONESBORO, AR — The United Stated Postal Service is moving the State University Post Office to a new location at 105 North Caraway Road, near the north entrance of the Arkansas State University Student Union Building.
The renovations are complete and the State University Post Office will officially open for business Monday, June 2, at 8 a.m. in the ASU Student Union Building. The 4,544 square foot building has ample parking with no parking meters for postal customers. There are Post Office boxes available for rent to the general public and students.
As part of the transition, PO Box customers can pick up their mail at the old location until 1 p.m., Saturday, May 31. Customers can also pick up their new PO Box keys and update their application at the new location in the Student Union building from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., on Saturday, May 31. PO boxholders are reminded to bring their old key and identification.
“We want our customers to know we are excited about the new location,” said State University Postmaster Paula Cochran. “Customers will enjoy an updated facility with plenty of parking. We will work closely with all of our customers to make this transition as smooth as possible.”
Vending machines will not be installed at the new location, but as a reminder customers can purchase stamps online at usps.com.
