Stephen J. Masse was named Vice President, Finance and Planning in May 2009, reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for all forward-looking financial information, from budgets to the five-year plan, as well as the development of an 18-month financial plan that is adjusted on a dynamic basis. His other responsibilities include all revenue and expense budgeting and forecasting and financial analysis and program review, including capital and program evaluation.
Masse is a senior financial executive and certified public accountant with 25 years experience in providing financial management and leadership services to successful business operations. Most recently he served as Vice President, Finance and Operations, at BAE Systems Regional Aircraft, Inc. His responsibilities included business strategy, organizational efficiency, and new business opportunities, as well as business planning, financial reporting, budgeting, and large transaction negotiation and analysis. Masse’s career at BAE Systems spans more than 19 years. He served in various positions of increasing responsibility, including Controller, Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer. Masse began his career in 1983 working with Big Four Accounting Firm, KPMG.
Masse graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1985.
He resides in Virginia with his wife Charlene and their two children.
