On March 6, the Postal Service held a stamp unveiling at Madison Square Garden in New York City to honor four American scientists. The 41-cent First-Class stamps honor theoretical physicist John Bardeen, biochemist Gerty Cori, astronomer Edwin Hubble and structural chemist Linus Pauling. “If my mother were alive today, she would think this recognition was wonderful and one of the best things that could have happened to her,” said Tom Cori, son of biochemist Gerty Cori.
