U.S. POSTAL SERVICE BOARD OF GOVERNORS STATEMENT ON POSTAL REFORM

Today in Washington the House Committee on Government Reform will begin its consideration of legislation intended to reform the basic structure of the Postal Service.

We expect similar legislation to be introduced in the Senate shortly. We support the efforts of the leaders of both the House and Senate who are committed to postal reform.

The Postal Service Board of Governors looks forward to working with the House and Senate in these efforts in the hope that the goal of meaningful postal reform can be achieved.

(Issued by Board Chairman David Fineman.)
