The Art of Disney: CelebrationThe United States Postal Service and the Disneyland Resort cordially invite you to celebrate the First Day of Issue Ceremony for The Art of Disney: Celebration commemorative stamps. The ceremony is to be held on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 10:00 am in the forecourt of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park. Please reserve your space by calling 1-800-5-Mickey (564-2539). The U.S. Postal Service honors the art of celebration imagined by Walt Disney and his studio animators with four stamps depicting classic Disney characters. Each stamp expresses the ways in which we celebrate — through music, food, parties, and dance. The stamp pane also comes during an especially magical year as Disneyland and its theme parks around the world celebrate 50 years of magic.
The dedicating official at The Art of Disney: Celebration is Patrick Donahoe, Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer, United States Postal Service. Representing Disney is Matt Ouimet, President Disneyland Resort with Andrae Rivas, Disneyland Resort Ambassador as emcee.
Honored guests include Terrence McCaffrey, Art Director, U.S. Postal Service; David Pacheco, Creative Director, Disney Consumer Products; Peter Emmerich, New York Artist; Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Ariel and Flounder, and Snow White and Dopey.
