Learn more about it...
National Card and Letter Writing Month is the U.S. Postal Service's annual month-long effort to promote literacy and celebrate the art of letter writing.

The writing, sending, and receiving of letters, postcards, and greeting cards is a tradition that has preserved our nation’s history and changed lives. Unlike other forms of communications, card and letter writing is timeless, personal, and immediately tangible.

During the month of April and May this year, postmasters and managers of Customer Service at Post Offices across the country are encouraging card and letter writing by hosting friendly competitions among local youth or by supporting activities at local libraries or schools.

Check with your local Post Office for more information on any activities scheduled for National Card and Letter Writing Month.
