We’re always working to improve efficiency and reduce cost in our network of hundreds of processing plants, Network Distribution Centers, and Surface Transfer Centers. Due to natural imbalances of mail volume between cities and the service standards we need to meet, we sometimes have extra room in our transport vehicles.
We’d like to use the extra space in our vehicles by opening it up to shippers. Here are the basics of this new Collaborative Logistics product:
Attractive individually negotiated rates |
Excellent service |
Delivery standards generally one to four days |
Space available on existing highway transportation |
Less-than-truckload and full truckload (where available) |
Palletized loads—single or double stacked |
USPS or customer drop-off and pickup |
Traditional freight and drop-ship freight |
Keep in mind that the U.S. Postal Service doesn’t accept hazardous materials (HAZMAT) or any materials that may impact mail security or service.
