Self Service
USPS Self Service offers a variety of tools that provide convenient mailing and shipping services without the assistance of a clerk or sales associate.

Automated Postal Center (APC)
This self-service kiosk allows customers to buy stamps or mail letters and packages in a self-service environment. This equipment is often located in the postal lobby with 24-hour customer access. Automated Postal Centers support up to 85 percent of all possible retail transactions, including the purchase of additional services such as Delivery Confirmation™. Customers can purchase stamps or mail letters and parcels using debit or EBT credit cards.

Stamps By Mail
This program provides added customer convenience to both residential and business customers by delivering stamps at their door. Customers can get a “Stamps by Mail” brochure by contacting their local Postmaster or delivery employee. Although this program is not currently available nationwide, expansion is underway. Stamps can also be ordered online or over the phone.

Vending
This equipment provides customers the ability to purchase stamps for cash—at their convenience and without having to wait in line. Vending equipment is available in both postal and non-postal locations and is often placed in the lobby with 24-hour customer access. Consider using vending equipment the next time you visit the Post Office for a stamps-only transaction. If you are looking for a convenient way to access a wider variety of stamps, consider ordering your stamps online.
