Update: January 2007
The Postal Service conducted a study to determine if we could increase efficiency and productivity by consolidating some mail processing operations currently performed at the Yakima, WA, Main Post Office by taking advantage of available processing capacity at the Pasco, WA, Processing and Distribution Facility.
It has been determined that there are currently no significant opportunities to improve efficiency and/or service through the consolidation evaluated in this study. The Postal Service devotes careful attention to the consideration of any operational change and we will continue to examine how we can improve our operations to meet our customers’ needs.
